The abbreviation Ph.Eur. 3.1.3 stands for the European Pharmacopoeia, which in this section strictly regulates how packaging made from polyolefins must be made of so that it can be used safely and at low risk, for example in filling for pharmaceutical active ingredient production.

The sustainable use of secondary containers such as barrels, hobbocks or buckets is becoming increasingly important in industry. The containers are lined with foil, so-called round bottom bags, which adapt their shape to the round containers.

Since mid-June 2023, the INDUSTRIAL PACKAGING LINER business unit, which until now consisted of packaging specialists Nittel, Tesseraux, Rhein-Plast and US Protective Lining, has been enriched by another suitable company: Liner Factory GmbH and Co. KG from Ahaus.

Nittel GmbH received a World Packaging Award for its “Green Milk Liner” product.
