Pharmagrade antistatic film (Ph.Eur. 3.1.3) now available

14.8.2023

The abbreviation Ph.Eur. 3.1.3 stands for the European Pharmacopoeia

which in this section strictly regulates how packaging made from polyolefins must be made of so that it can be used safely and with low risk, for example in filling for pharmaceutical active ingredient production.

Since additives in a film are always critically assessed in this context — after all, they could diffuse into the film — an antistatic film equipped with additives that is officially approved was a long-held request from customers who have to fill highly sensitive substances in ATEX zones.

With a new development together with a partner, Rhein-Plast has now been able to bridge the gap between explosion protection and maximum safety against contamination of the active ingredients.

The film in Pharmagrade is now available, including documentation, certificates and explanations.
